Refugees.ro bring 183 refugees from Ukraine to Frankfurt
Refugees.ro with Alexandru Panait help and Fundația Împreună pentru Solidaritate Socială from Piatra Neamț are making a difference for Ukrainian refugees. The organizations have collected funds and made arrangements to transport 183 refugees from Ukraine to Frankfurt, Germany on Friday, March 18th, at 2 PM. With the help of Adrian Niță, the Prefect of Neamț County, who provided a bus, the refugees were brought from Vama Siret by the foundation’s volunteers.
Volunteers from the foundation worked tirelessly to bring the refugees from Vama Siret to Piatra Neamț, where they will be housed overnight. The trip was made possible through a partnership between the foundation and individuals in Germany and Switzerland.
Father Petru Munteanu, director of Fundația Împreună pentru Solidaritate Socială, shared his excitement about this project, “So far, everything is going well and we hope it continues to be so. All of the foundation’s actions are carried out by volunteers, sometimes discreetly, for all of these projects that the foundation carries out. Through a partnership we have with individuals in Germany and Switzerland, we have organized a fundraising campaign and now, as a foundation, we will be able to pay for this flight and support these 183 Ukrainian refugees to reach Frankfurt.”
The foundation’s efforts to support refugees in Romania is a testament to the power of collaboration and the impact that can be made through the work of dedicated individuals. By providing transportation and temporary housing, these refugees are given a chance at a better future.
